Marie Laveau Black and White Magic is the 1991 republication of the original work. It contains instructions for various magical spells and workings that have been used in New Orleans and other American flavors of Voodoo and Hoodoo. Included are general condition instructions, candle magic, the meanings of playing cards in cartomancy, and attributes of astrological signs.
It is a good source for instructions on how to do various standard spells and workings, but it does not have the recipes for the various condition oils, powders, and other products referenced. It is however, an important resource for old style conjure.
