Grown people who can’t take a no need to learn or be avoided. After examining certain “beefs” in the African diaspora spiritual community, it seems the source of some conflict is some people’s inability to take a “no” or respect other people’s boundaries. This is something that needs to be kept in check because it is a result of the colonial attitude of entitlement to other people’s attention and approval.

Of course, the people who feel entitled to everyone’s approval ended up also feeling entitled to claim status in other people’s systems that they had not earned.
